Superlift Off Road Park

Superlift Off Road Park

My dad’s birthday and fathers day are always really close together so this year we took him on a trip to celebrate. We went to Superlift off road park in Hot Springs Arkansas this year and had a great time. The park is good sized with lots of trails that are very well marked. There is a wide variety of trails ranging from easy to hard.

They are rated from 1 (easy) to 5 (super hard). We started out on the 2′s, then the 3′s but found out quickly that the 4′s were best suited to dad’s JK rubicon on 35′s. For our last trail we attempted one of the easier 5 rated obstacles and were looking good but after a hard bounce there was a strong gas smell that persisted for the next 10 or 15 mins and we took that as a sign to back off of the obstacle.

We had a great time but by now it was 101 degrees and we were hot as hell so at about 3:00 we went in town and rented a Ski Barge. It was brand new, we were the first ones to take it out. It had a 150 HP Honda VTEC engine and moved along pretty good.

We had a blast! Michael, Chris, Dad, and I hadn’t been on the water together for over 18 years. It was just like old times…

He wore out the stockers and put some standard all season radials on the stock wheels for normal driving. A few weeks after that he bought the Pro Comp Xtreme MT’s to bolt on for off road trips. His jeep did great – we actually pulled a 8×10 trailer hauling the pro comps and a bunch of other junk and the JK would still run 75 – 80mph on the flat Arkansas roads.

Acceleration wasn’t the best but overall I was impressed with the Jeep. There aren’t too many vehicles that you can load down with 4 people and tons of gear for an 800 mile weekend road trip that includes running several 4 rated off road trails. The JK did it with ease.

2- Fred is rocking a budweiser in the boat pics

3- Fred is just plain fucking rocking!!!

Yeah, he was having a good time! Dad loves driving a boat – we’ve gotta get out on the water more often with him. We had a lot of fun.

The boat was really nice and super comfy – I didn’t expect that from a rental. As for the hat, I assume the hat you are referring to is a Bucyrus hat – I hadn’t noticed. I like the 35′s too.

I suggested the size but dad picked out the wheels and tires. He bought them from the place by the fairgrounds. The prices were competitive but it took them a little while (2 or 3 tries) to get the right wheels for him.

Some times life gets so busy we start to look over the things that a important. It is great that you guys don’t let that happen.

I love the water (surrounded by lakes here) but the red headed fat guy doesn’t like the Sun. LMAO!!!

How’s the clearance on those 35′s. My teraflex kit calls for 35′s, but I just out 33′s on it. Plus I don’t think the 3.8lt with 3.73 gears would want anymore than 33′s.

Its a pig. Man i miss the 4.0!!!!

I think dad has 3″ tera springs in the front with a tera adj trackbar and 2″ spacers in back. The 35′s clear very well, they only rub when the wheels are turned hard and it is flexed hard. Then the 35′s hits the front bumper.
